TRUE ALERTING EVENT MANAGEMENT
The idea driving Alerting Hub forward
The idea driving Alerting Hub forward
We have worked with a variety of businesses providing outbound voice and messaging services. Through our combined experience we came to recognise the need for a cloud-based system that was finely tuned for mass outbound notifications. One that is flexible in its approach to making core functionality easy to integrate into customer solutions. In short we wanted create something that was fit-for-purpose and matches our clients’ specific working processes and business models.
For us it’s all about the notification event – taking a holistic view of what is needed to plan, send and track alerts and notifications.
Alerting Hub was built on a simple concept. To provide true alerting event management – focusing on the entire event lifecycle.
By event we mean the completion of a notification objective – warning residents in a particular region about a storm; chasing an overdue invoice payment; scheduled appointment reminders – with the understanding that this may require multiple notifications of various types, with various responses/actions taken.
Why’s that important? Typically general-purpose platforms focus on notification delivery methods as separate operations. You have a separate API for sending an SMS alert. You write to another API to send a voice message, so on and so on. That’s a lot of code to write and stitch together for an event when you are looking to make use of a combination of delivery channels. And that’s just the beginning. If you want to track and monitor the delivery status and responses of a particular event you have to find a way tie all these up too.
Up until now, no platform supported this method of mass outbound event management. Enter Alerting Hub
We can see the many advantages of taking an event-centric approach; enabling customers to contact their clients in a variety of ways and to also be able to easily track and collate responses into a cohesive whole. We make this possible through a very simple API – SendAlert. It doesn’t care if it is just an SMS message or a combination of notification types, they are options for you to select from and specify. Equally, with each event given an ID, it is easy to collate the successes/response of all notifications sent as part of that single event over time.
Because we want to make notification event management and message delivery simple! Alerting Hub wraps up all the capabilities required to meet the specific and challenging demands of high volume emergency notification and automated customer engagement solutions – removing the complexities of different contact methods from the customer. That means we take care of service provision (voice, SMS, email), scalability, redundancy, scheduling and all the features you would expect (and more) with each delivery method type: CLI modifications, TTS, DTMF, sender modifications, IVR, attachments, conferencing, call transfer, bargin-in….the list goes on.
Ultimately our mission is to present customers with a single, robust and simple to use service that is finely tuned to the specific needs of mass outbound notification services.
