People who email us
Any email sent to Alerting Hub directly or via a website form, including any attachments, may be monitored and used by us for reasons of security and for monitoring. Job applicants and employees
When individuals apply to work at Alerting Hub, we will only use the information they supply to us to process their application and to monitor recruitment statistics. Where we want to disclose information to a third party, for example where we want to take up a reference or obtain a ‘disclosure’ from the Criminal Records Bureau we will not do so without informing them beforehand unless the disclosure is required by law. Once a person has taken up employment with Alerting Hub, we will compile a file relating to their employment. Your clients’ personal information
Your end users’ personal information typically shows up on Alerting Hub’s platform in a few different ways:
- Telephone numbers and email addresses of recipients
- Content of SMS and email messages
- Audio content of voice calls
We use personal information to provide services to you and to carry out necessary functions of our business as a communications service provider. We do not sell your end users’ personal information and we do not share your end users’ information with third parties for those third parties’ own business interests.
Such information in handled and protected in the following ways:
- CDRs and other semi-permanent records have redacted telephone numbers and email addresses.
- Temporary local data is immediately deleted as soon as an alert has been issued.
- Client stores (SMS and email contents, recipient lists, stored-alerts, voice content etc.) are all encrypted at rest using per-client information.
- Additional semi-permanent meta data containing recipient lists for tracking alert responses are encrypted at rest.
- Content of SMS and emails (both outgoing and replies) are not logged or recorded in audit trails.
Access to personal information
Alerting Hub tries to be as open as it can be in terms of giving people access to their personal information. Individuals can find out if we hold any personal information by making a ‘subject access request’ under the current UK and EU data protection legislation. If we do hold information about you we will:
- Give you a description of it
- Tell you why we are holding it
- Tell you who it could be disclosed to
- Let you have a copy of the information in an intelligible form
To make a request to Alerting Hub for any personal information we may hold you need to put the request in writing to the address provided below. If you agree, we will try to deal with your request informally, for example by providing you with the specific information you need over the telephone.
